John Ouko

John Ouko orphanages of kenya

John Ouko is 11 years old. He is in class one and likes math and has a difficult time with the national language of Kenya and eastern Africa, Kiswahili. When John grows up he wants to become a doctor. He likes to play soccer, his favorite color is purple and is from the Luhya tribe and lived in the area of Kakamega, Kenya. John has a younger brother here at the children’s home named Benson. Both boys were orphaned when their father murdered the mother. The father has a life sentence in prison with no hope of parole. Although they are not orphans that generally meet our criteria, their situation warranted bringing them into our care. Now that he and brother, Benson can focus on school we know they will excel and find their way in life. It is a joy to watch them join in with the others during family devotion time.
