Purity Itambo is the youngest of three sisters from the Luhya tribe, and she was just four when she joined the family of orphans eight years ago. Now 13 years old, Purity is in Class 5. Her favorite color is green and she enjoys learning about science, playing hide and seek, jumpimg rope and singing. Purity wants to be a teacher one day. Her sisters, Irene and Laura who have recently gone off to Highschool in Kamburi, Kenya, have remained close to each other as well as becoming close to their new extended family. She and her sisters are victims of HIV although Purity is negative for the virus. She is shy but loves to be involved with anything family orientated.
